Made it to Newport!

Whew!  Long day.

Left Garibaldi at 7:30am this morning, made Newport marina at 4:15p.  Rockin' and rollin' in 6 foot swells all day was exhausting.  But the weather was nice out there on the water.  (Much cooler than our sweltering friends in the inland PNW.) Couldn't get any writing or even puzzling done the whole day, because the steering was intense and constant, and looking down or being in the cabin threatened to bring on the seasickness.  But it was a great day of boat experience (the boat performed exceptionally well, of course!) and learning (for me) about boat handling in the waves.
